The Beach

The Beach

On our last night in town
My son and I went on beach
To watch the sun go down
As the fresh evening settled in

Both feet anchored in the sand
As time stopped for a moment
He looked at me and said
Isn’t it what a dream is supposed to be?

One last time
One last time
One last time
By the waves

I see the sun in your eyes
and feel the wind on my hands
As the warm feeling rises
Another wave washes the sand

The moon rises from behind
As salty winds, slows down
Thinking of the last few days
Before returning home

One last time
One last time
One last time
By the waves

I see the ocean
In my dreams

The Wind

The Wind

The wind keeps pushing
The memories we gathered
In the glass city

Surrounded by large trees
We froze time
For a moment

Drunk with love
We gazed at
The growing buildings

We made it to the salty shore
Looked at each other
And said…

I remember the way you looked at me
When we reached the endless sea
A warm feeling of arriving
Where the end and begins

We explored the parks
At day light we wondered
The streets at night

We heard the birds signing
And watched people
Dancing all night

I remember the way you looked at me
When we reached the endless sea
A warm feeling of arriving
Where the end and begins

I’m now ready to go
Back to the very place
I had to leave you

I wanted to find out
The best out there
For me and you
